Waterman Glass-Cartridge Filler

Catalog #78 shares a 1953 Waterman #3 size Glass-Cartridge-filler fountain pen in black. The gold-filled cap has alternating pinstripe and plain panels, although the top half of this cap is smooth.

The nib is an 18KT gold extra-fine. This pen is new-old-stock, mintwith original chalk mark on barrel (I can only make out the first line, which says “Plume,” the French word for “Pen.”) Of course, a glass cartridge is included. One is clean and unused, the other has ink residue. Cartridges can be refilled with a syringe (we can provide this for $5.00 extra).

I found a very nice Waterman Glass-Cartridge filler pen. Of course it has no locknut. I sent it off for repair and they said it can not be fixed as they have no idea where to find one. They sent me instructions on how to repair it myself using a #9 latex sac, which I can’t find anywhere, do they not make them? Could I use a #10. If you can help me in any way, I would greatly welcome it!

Hi Nona, what do you mean by “locknut?” It appears you then talk about the rubber gasket which holds the top of the glass cartridge and stops it from leaking. If you send me a copy of the instructions I’m sure I can make sense of them. Gary
