$175
212
1943 Parker Vacumatic Major Deluxe in Golden Laminated. 1943 is a very rare year for both the Vacumatic and 51, as the plant was almost 100% dedicated to the war effort, making bomb fuses and other devices. This Vacumatic very likely went to a military Post-Exchange. The “Deluxe” models were made expressly for jewelry stores, so they would have different “higher-end” models than the pen stores. They sport a cap band which has a series of horizontal lines, the Major Deluxe having a cap band the same width as the Major. “Deluxe” bands are significantly rarer than the normal “herringbone” bands. GFT. Fine, semi-flexible nib. Very minor signs of wear, otherwise near mint.
$250
213
1952 Parker 51 Aerometric-fill in Black. Very special Ariel Kullock cap, custom made for Don Lavin, long-time pen afficionado and organizer of the Chicago Pen Show. Don and spouse Ellen are tango fanatics and the cap was designed to depict, in high relief applique, dancers in the middle of a sensuous tango (see photos), on a hand etched geometric background. The pen is consigned by Ellen. One of a kind. Pen with no signs of use, with a perfectly clear plyglass sac.
$400
