Handwritten Post – Ernest Hemingway

If only I had a Montblanc Writer’s Edition Ernest Hemingway fountain pen to pen this with!

When writing a novel a writer should create living people; people, not characters. A character is a caricature. – Ernest Hemingway

Why is a Mont Blanc-created fountain pen with Ernest Hemingway’s name on it so outrageously expensive? The pen has no connection, past or present, to Papa Hemingway and all it is is a Mont Blanc fountain pen. The wonders of creative marketing at work.

Absolutely correct, the folks at Montblanc are expert marketers. Yet, some of their pens fail in the marketplace. The design still needs to be one which appeals to the pen using community. Gary
