Catalog #77 is full of extraordinary pens – especially Parkers! This 1973 Parker 75 ”Rainbow” is a cartridge/converter-filler in 18K gold-fill concentric rings, and as you can see, in varying shades of gold. It was a very complicated and difficult manufacturing process that resulted in many rejects, and in turn, an excessive manufacturing cost. This gave way to a very short product life.
Given this, these 75 ”Rainbow” pens are very rare today, especially to find one mint in the box. This model was never sold in the US and was available for export only. It was known as the Regency, not as the ”Rainbow”, which we commonly refer to it as today.
This specimen has a fine nib, and is new-old-stock, mint in original box.

A friend asked for assistance is selling his Parker Pen Model 75 “Rainbow.” Wasn’t sure if you buy them or can advise todays value. Thanks, Lynn
Thanks for writing. It’s still a very desirable pen. A lot of the value depends on condition. Assuming near mint or better condition, I would certainly take it on consignment and list it in our Catalog at $1350. Very best, Gary
Would I just send you pictures, or the actual pen? And what is your percent of sold price? Or fees?
Hi, you would send the actual pen for inspection and photographing here. The sales commission is a flat 30%. There are no other fees unles the pen needs some restoration at the repair bench before it’s offered for sale. If so, these are usually minor. Gary
