  When I write on my notepad, stuff gets stuck in my nib. I think it’s paper fibers? Why is this happening? Paper fibres can get caught in the tip of your nib if the paper is particularly toothy, absorbent, or if your tip is very sharp. Try a more fountain pen-friendly paper like Rhodia, Clairefontaine, or Tomoe River.

Pelikan M111 Originals of Their Times

This is a 1997 Pelikan M111 “1931 Originals of Their Times” Limited Edition! The number is 0537/1931. It is a piston-filler in 18K Solid Gold with alternating Barley and Plain panels. The cap is black cap with 18K bands. Visualated barrel. 18C fine nib, with gold-filled clip. New-old-stock. Mint in original box with papers, and white outer box. Very rare! Item # 53 in Catalog #81.

How do I know if I can turn a pen into an eyedropper? The eyedropper system is so simple and is quite common in vintage pens. If you have a pen that is not an eyedropper-filler, there are ways you can “hack” them to eyedroppers. This is a 1997 Danitrio Grand Phantas Limited Edition: # 14/50. This is a cartridge/converter-fill in 18K Solid Gold. The pen has sculptured dragons on a sterling silver cap and barrel. Sterling silver gripping section as well. Decorated with diamonds and ruby eyes in the dragons. Two-tone 18K medium nib.   Item #44 in Catalog #81.
