Handwritten Post – Anatomy of a Nib

I remember reading about nibs when I first started learning about adjusting them. I read that I should gently squeeze the shoulders of the nib. I remember thinking, ”what on earth are the shoulders?” So, behold, my hideous nib drawing to identify the simple anatomy of a nib!

One Person’s Dream Nib…

I love this quote. I saw it while reading a fountain pen book and thought it was great, and very true. I don’t know what my dream nib is, because I like too many – sometimes I like really broad, crisp nibs, and sometimes I like fine, flexible nibs. I want them all! Do you have a dream nib?

Handwritten Post – First Fountain Pen Days

I started using fountain pens when I was in my early teens, but I really went crazy over them when I was in my early 20s. I thought it would be fun to write some quotes and hear what you think as well! I really enjoy this Faceted Capless model by Pilot, and wish they were still made today (in a variety of colors, especially). The fine nib is precise and crisp, and a pleasure …
