1950 Universal #2 size pump-fill in Black. May or may not actually be an Italian pen. Never-the-less, the claim to fame for this pen is the filling mechanism. The pump system is built into outermost 1/2″ of the gripping section! Put the pen in the ink bottle — nib first, press & release the pump assembly 8 or 9 times onto the bottom of the ink bottle, and the pen is full! Certainly belongs in a collection of “unusual filler mechanisms.” Visualated ink supply can be seen through the clear end of the barrel. Gold-plate cap. Medium/broad “hooded” nib. Excellent+ to near mint.

Goldfink Pens

Goldfink pens have been manufactured in Berlin Germany since the 1920’s. The company is still in existence today as a stationery company. Most of their pens were styled after other German manufacturers, especially Montblanc. They were famous for flexible nibs. All the examples below are post WWII and were made for English speaking markets.
