Eversharp was in dire straights with the failure of their “Fifth Avenue” model pen and their ballpoint, the “CA” was unreliable. Along came the Kimberly Company who in 1947 introduced and successfully manufactured a reliable ball pen. Several companies sued Kimberly for patent infringement, including Eversharp. Eversharp acquired an interest (eventually owning the company in 1955) and Kimberly became an exclusive Eversharp brand. It was discontinued in 1957 when Parker acquired Eversharp. The “Pockette” was Kimberly’s first ball pen, 3 ½” closed and 5 1/8″ open, the same length as the Parker jotter. All the pens below are working and have modern refills. [Buy all 12 at $300.]
