1906 Parker Model #38 “Snake” eyedropper-fill in Gold-filled high relief repousse on BHR, with eyes of inlaid emeralds. One of the most beautiful pens created, and well known as “the defining pen” in a one’s collection! I am pleased to offer this stunning example. This is the earlier of the two models Parker produced, with a rounded, open derby. The top of the later version is flatter and fully covered with metal. The metal work is perfect. The emerald eyes stare at you! The black hard rubber cap underlay has a few very minor horizontal scars where the cap overlay must have turned 1/8″ or so. The model number on the bottom of the pen (“38” in a circle) is crisp, deep and mint. The indicia is smartly engraved with a single word, “Mona.” Truly an outstanding pen!

1905 Climax #4 size Eyedropper-fill pen in black lined hard rubber, bracketed by wave chasing (pinstripe chasing, such as this, is much rarer than wave chasing). This is the first time I have ever seen this chasing pattern, which is one thing that makes this pen so interesting. 1910 Grieshaber #6 “Crescent Fill” in BCHR. Turning the knob on the bottom of the pen releases the crescent so it can be pushed to fill the pen. This is a large, rare pen, with an unusual filling mechanism. The chasing is deep and crisp, while the barrel imprint is surprisingly weak (fortunately, the “Grieshaber” is readable). Cap has imprint stating “Turn” with a hand pointing to the right. Broad, triple-flexible nib.

1933 Pelikan 100 PIF “Emege” in Grey Marble (much rarer than Grey Pearl). “Emege” was the initials of Pelikan’s Portuguese distributor (“M.G.”) who imprinted his pens so he wouldn’t have to honor the repair guarantee on pens which were not bought in Portugal. 1953 Pelikan 100N PIF “Emege” Set in Tortoise with Red cap. “Emege” was the initials of Pelikan’s Portuguese distributor (“M.G.") who imprinted his pens so he wouldn’t have to honor the repair guarantee on pens which were not bought in Portugal. 1915 Rexall (Monogram) #5 size Sleeve-filler in BHR. Turning the sleeve on the barrel exposes a pressure bar to squeeze to fill the bladder. Quite a rare model! Warranted, 14K, fine, flexible nib. A previous owner carved the letter “R” into the rubber on the reverse, just above the sleeve. Early pen, with a slip-cap (no threads). Excellent+

1929 Waterman Patrician LF in Jade. GFT. Waterman’s first entry into plastic pens, and has become one of the mot sought after pens by collectors today. GFT. Normally found heavily ambered, this example has only a minor band of darkening near the top of the cap and a tad on the barrel, under the cap, otherwise near mint+. This pen was in Catalog #38 at $2,000, and should have sold at that price (It would be $3,000 without the small band of darkening). It is now offered at $1,600!
