GoPens is back in business!

GoPens is back in business!

I am thrilled to announce that after several years’ hiatus, the venerable GoPens name will once again represent one of the premier providers of fine, rare, and extraordinary pens to discriminating collectors worldwide.

With the death in 2022 of its founder, Gary Lehrer, GoPens was stilled after more than a quarter-century of supplying top-quality writing instruments to the market. We were determined to fill that void, and Myrna Lehrer graciously agreed to allow us to take over the business and rebuild it. To that end, we have assembled a team of deeply knowledgeable and highly-respected pen experts to propel the rejuvenated GoPens into its future in a manner that I believe Gary would approve of.

Ernesto Soler brings decades of experience to that table. He is one of the world’s foremost experts in the Parker “51”, and many will know him from his Parker51.com website. But Ernesto’s expertise is far broader, extending across brands and models, and his deep network of relationships with other aficionados around the globe empowers him to select and acquire the finest pieces for GoPens.

Gabriel Galicia is veteran pen collector with a keen eye and an extensive collection of vintage pens, but his story goes beyond that, as he comes from a multi-generational line of pen collectors — a rarity in the pen world. His sharp eye and broad knowledge ideally position him to contribute to the building of GoPens’ inventory and to spread the word among collectors about our mission.

Daniel Kirchheimer has been a pen collector for over fifty years. In addition to his deep knowledge of many vintage pen models, he also is a highly-respected restorer and pen historian. Lastly, Dan’s technical background was called upon to create this new GoPens.com website, giving us a new, modern, highly functional online storefront.

Tim Laros is a veteran pen collector with a focus on the Parker “51”. He is a highly experienced and expert restorer of pens of all types, and he leads the new GoPens’ repair and restoration services, providing our clientele with dependable, top-quality work with no compromises.

We hope you enjoy browsing our holdings here and at our tables at pen shows. We love talking about pens even when there’s no buying or selling to be done, so stop by our table or drop us a note to say hello and give us your thoughts.

We hope you find that GoPens is again worthy of the name.

—George
